Trip Home- Our Day Helping Papa Jack!

Image
This trip home was so much fun because the babies were actually old enough to enjoy the wide open spaces and the fun of running around the farm. We got to ride the tractor one day, explore the wheat field and work with some tools. Their absolute favorite thing was riding around in the mule (rangers for your Phoenicians!) which I didn't get any pics of. As I was taking this pic he pushed that yellow button, which I discovered is the throttle...ooops! And yes, the tractor was on! Dad was in back unhooking the undercutter! McKinley with Papa Jack. She was OBSESSED with Dad on this trip. He couldn't go anywhere without her running after him screaming. Grant, McKinley and cousin Mason Ending a hard morning with breakfast at the Co-op!

Trip Home- Flight and LOOONG Drive

Image
We recently took a trip home to Kansas to visit Chad and I's family and I have a TON of pics, so this will be a multi-part series! The babies and I flew out on Friday before Chad came on Monday, but luckily I had the help of Chad's parents for the flight there. After getting up at 430 am to get to the airport and then flying, we still had a 4 hour drive ahead of us to my parents house and this one I had to do solo. I thought they would take a nap and the drive would go by quickly..NOPE! They actually did really well, but about an hour from my parents house they got fussy and tired of being in the car so I had to make a little stop in a field to let them run around. They did wonderfully though, considering it was 12 hours worth of travel! The flight home I had Chad's help, along with his mom being there to help and it went smoothly! Luckily we had a row to ourselves so we could let them sit in the middle and watch a DVD Sitting in their little "loungers" wai...

Last Zoo Trip of Summer

Image
We had an unusually cool day for May here in Phoenix so we decided to take advantage of the weather and head to the zoo for one last time before summer hits! Their favorite part was stomping in the river water! Grant getting ready for his visit back to Granny and Papa Jack's farm! This face accompanied by a very loud gasp was seen many times on our zoo trip! Both of the little monkeys were well behaved for this pic! Kindred souls...

Staycation!

Image
We did our annual "staycation" here in Phoenix at the Marriott resort and like last year had so much fun! Lots of swimming, floating down the lazy river, and eating junk food. They even got to watch T.V.! We didn't get any pics of the lazy river, but we put them in their floaties and hung on to them while we floated down the river and Grant even fell asleep while we were floating one day! One day our sitter came to the resort to watch them while Chad and I enjoyed some lounging time by the pool. This is vacation 1 of 4 for the summer, so be ready for lots of pics! In heaven watching T.V. on his pile of pillows Their favorite activity was being thrown into the pile of pillows One day our friends Missy and Cody came with their triplets to hang out at the pool with us. We had so much fun and for having 5 kids around 2 years old we didn't have 1 crying fit! Even being about 2 hours past naptime! *Notice McKinley in the background of this pic chugging down her dri...
