McKinley Jane and Grant Alan

I'll give everyone one guess to where :-) We won't be moving until about Sep/Oct of this year, but we're really excited to try out a new town and enjoy some shorter summers! Even McKinley says she's okay with moving as long as we take her pink bed. (by the way this waffle was what the hotel served for breakfast each morning when we went on our trip to visit Austin and check out neighborhoods haha)

There is nothing better in the world to me than seeing how great of a father Chad is. Seeing the effort he put into this Daddy/Daughter dance was awesome. He got all dressed up, ordered a corsage, and presented her with a pink cross necklace before the dance. He danced so much that when he got home his shirt was soaked with sweat haha! These are memories I KNOW McKinley will cherish when she's older. After seeing snow on the polar express the kids have been asking when they get to play in some so we decided to book our timeshare and head up to Northern Arizona to get some snow playtime! I was a little nervous driving up there b/c there was NO snow, but luckily we found some when we went driving up to higher elevations. The best part...our own private hot tub on our deck overlooking the creek! Confession: we didn't make this snowman. we highjacked it for the pic Throwing rocks in the water....best.thing.ever.

Well, our pediatrician was WAAAY off when he predicted the first broken bone to be McKinley. Not only was the first broken bone Grant (clavicle) but the SECOND broken bone was Grant (leg, specifically tibia). Chad and I had yelled at them so many times to stop jumping off the couch. One day I was at work and got a text that said "you need to call me right now" I called Chad and as soon as I heard Grant crying in the background I said "He jumped off the couch didn't he??" Because I was working Grant ended up being my patient for a short time until they could find a nurse to let me off. I was willing to take care of him until the doctor ordered an IV...then I made another nurse poke him :-) I send kids home in splints/casts all the time, but it's sure a whole different story when you have to take a kid home with you in a cast. Three year olds can't use crutches...bet you never thought of that. So that leaves me lugging a kid around or him crawling. I have ...

I thought things were supposed to slow down after the holidays?? Why do I still feel like I'm playing catch-up?? It was wonderful having my parents down here to visit during Christmastime and we love all the fun activities we get to do with them, but it's also really nice getting back into our routine of going to the gym, school and playdates! The kids still really enjoy homeschooling and get excited when I tell them it's a school day. We had a couple of rough days getting back into a routine after Christmas break but luckily that was a short lived battle. We grew past the original curriculum I bought so we moved up to the 4/5 year old curriculum through the same website I bought the original curriculum. This lady makes it so easy that I don't know what I'm going to do when I have to plan my own curriculum. I guess I'll actually have to start doing some work :-) I still really enjoy homeschooling and feel very blessed that we have this opportunity for the extra ...
