On April 15th, McKinley was at Chad's and had a seizure. We took her to the ED where we sadly had a horrible experience. No one would listen to us and we had to fight to even get a head CT. Ultimately, she was discharged as a panic attack despite the CT showing an abnormality and her having continued right sided weakness and tingling. Thank goodness for an amazing pediatrician who got us an MRI and I called constantly trying to get in asap. After the MRI was done I knew it was bad news based on how the MRI tech was acting. Before I had even pulled into the driveway I was getting a call from the pediatricians office. It ended up that the abnormality on the CT that the ED told us was "fine" was a brain tumor. We were direct admitted into Arnold Palmer hospital neurology unit.
