McKinley Jane and Grant Alan

She was sitting and holding her stuffed dog and was like "He is taking FOREVER to go to sleep!"  LOL! This kid struggles with spelling so this was a big accomplishment for him!!

While McKinley and Chad are at the Daddy/Daughter dance Grant and I always plan a special date.  He usually picks the same thing but we always have a blast doing it!  It's usually Dunkin' Donuts and Huckoos family fun where we play laser tag, pirates plunder and bounce around like mad men!  Love the 1:1 time with my little man!

The Daddy/Daughter Dance is always a highlight of the year for McKinley and Chad and it always warms my heart to see the relationship between these two.  This year the theme was Superheroes and McKinley didn't want to be something "normal" so they decided to be Beast Boy and Raven!  Chad's costume turned out awesome!  Before the dance Chad always gets McKinley a little something special that he picks out himself and this year he gave her a necklace.  When he gave it to her she cried which is so incredibly sweet.  She also all on her own had made a special gift for Chad filled with notes and small trinkets that she put together herself.  These are memories they will never forget! 

We had a fun field trip to Webb Honey where they raise bees and produce and manufacture honey.  I also didn't know that they do a "bee share" where they ship bees to different locations like California during their growing seasons to help with pollination and that the bees will stay together! Honey is a natural filter so this is the stuff that rises to the top...yuck!

We found out our neighbors like camping too so they invited us on an annual camping trip they do with friends.  It was a lot of fun and the kids loved having other kids to play with all weekend!

I've been dying to go to this elephant preservation forever and it just happened to work out that we could go on the way home from our camping trip!

Chad was supposed to work but ended up getting cancelled so we ended up having a few hours together while the kids were at a class at O2B Kids.  We started out the morning with a fun little candy basket for Chad and the kids which was filled with ....prank candy.  McKinley was NOT happy about it but I can assure you she got her "real" candy later on LOL! Daddy making crepes.  The kids new favorite food! Chad and I went for a bike ride to celebrate Valentine's Day.  Our perfect afternoon! For dinner we did fondue at home which was delicious
