McKinley Jane and Grant Alan

After a fun few days at the farm for Christmas we headed to Council Grove to see all my siblings/cousins.  The kids all had a great time playing together and it even snowed! Grant too exhausted to even brush his teeth!

For the first time in many years, we got to go back to the farm for the Christmas season and we had a great low-key time with mom and dad for a few days going through photo albums and sitting around drinking coffee all day lol!  

We were without kids for Christmas Eve so Derek and I started the new tradition of a motorcycle ride to Mount Dora, followed by church service.  That night we had wine and cheese and watched a holiday movie.  Christmas morning we met the kids at the drop off spot and had the stockings in the car!  

Since our Christmas was jam packed with time spent at Grandma Verna's and going home to the farm we had to sneak in our family Christmas at 11pm the night before we flew out!  Derek and the kids made me an amazing picture display of pics of my dad since he had just been in hospital, which of course made me cry.  Grant was the lucky winner of the Christmas pickle! Then they did a campout in the living room by the tree.  

Derek has always said that UCF would never beat a team like the Gators if they played against each other.  Welllll....I got tickets to a game where they actually played each other and I won't mention who won, but it may have been my alma mater :)
