Outside of Pulse night club where the mass shooting in June occurred they have a memorial set up.  I've been wanting to visit forever and take the kids so they could get a grasp of the "realness" of it all vs. just watching on TV.  It was an absolutely beautiful memorial but gave me a pit in my stomach thinking about all the lives lost there and the horrors of that night.  I really feel the kids got the seriousness of the situation as well and they wanted to leave little notes for those lives lost.

As if a trip to San Antonio wasn't enough I got to celebrate my birthday even more when we got home!  Ted and Julie were still here so we took a trip to Disney Springs to visit the new coca cola store and do their international soda tasting which was really neat.  Then that night we went to drag queen bingo at Hamburger Mary's which is always a good time!
