October Recap-Heard Around the Nuttle Home Edition

Image
I have so many funny quotes stored in my phone so this update is going to be a "Heard Around the Nuttle House" update with pics! Grant: I was doing a homeschool theme of "Farm" so we were turning cream into butter.  I asked the kids "Where does milk come from?" and Grant shouted "THE REFRIGERATOR!!"  Winner... Grant has an imaginary friend and while it makes playdates easy (haha!) I sometimes get worried about how "real" this friend is to him.  One day we were having lunch and he goes "Do you hear that?"  He took off running to the door, opened it up and said "Hey Choni! (the name of his friend).  Hi Choni's dad, how are you doing?  Come on in".  He then proceeded to have Choni sit by him and eat.  The downside to all this is that whenever something happens I will ask the kids who did it and immediately their reply is "Choni" :/ Grant has turned into such a big boy lately and we've been doing...

Branson Trip

To celebrate my parents 50th Anniversary we took a trip to Branson and managed to get all of the family members except one which is a pretty big feat!  We went to a show, Silver Dollar City, miniature golfing and then hanging out with cousins.   Playing spoons...my new favorite game

Raiders game

For those of you from Arizona, Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders are rivals so wearing Raiders jerseys to church and then supporting the Raiders at the game was definately a risk haha!  We ended up sitting by some very fun Chiefs fans and had a great time!  And Raiders won :) This band was HILARIOUS!  They were called Almost Kiss.  So funny!

Halloween has always been my favorite time in Arizona so I was a little worried about whether or not we would have the fun activities in Kansas City and we weren't let down at all!  And bonus...it wasn't 100 degrees :)  We went to a pumpkin patch with our playgroup, Chad and I hit the big haunted houses downtown, we did a trunk or treat with another playgroup, we did the fall festival at my hospital and then we went trick or treating.  Whew!  The kids loved Halloween this year.  Definately got the concept of knocking on a door and getting candy!  As always we did our family tradition of homemade pizza and had our neighbors come and eat with us after trick or treating.  It was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast playing until about 10 p.m.! My pinterest costume taht McKinley then wouldn't wear b/c she preferred the $3 garage sale one Oh my goodness she was loving feeding the animals this year!  after they picked out ...
