We decided to try something different for 4th grade this year and while we are still using Abeka curriculum we ordered the teaching disks that accompany the curriculum.  It's nice having a classroom teacher that teaches concepts that Chad and I are unpracticed in and it's also nice for the kids to have a little "competition" with their classroom friends.  We've supplemented as it's worked for us and after a few weeks were able to find a good routine and process that works for us.    The kids had outgrown their little toddler desks so Chad made me up a brand new classroom and I LOVE it!  It's perfect for us and makes homeschooling so much easier.   We wanted to start a fun back to school tradition so we decided to start going to Farris and Fosters for their chocolate making night the first day of school each year.  It was a blast and we left stuffed full of chocolate!!

We took an afternoon and joined our friends Rob, Lynda and Grayson for some fun boating!  They had a kneeboard that I got to try for the first time and I was instantly hooked!
