We had already celebrated Christmas with my parents in November so Christmas Day/Eve Grandpa Ted and Grandma Julie came to Kansas City to visit.  On Christmas Eve we had our buddies Jace and Lennox over to make birthday cupcakes for Jesus and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus.  Christmas Eve we went to church candlelight service and then came home to appetizers and opening some gifts!  Christmas morning we were up bright and early to open our stockings and rest of our presents.  As always we were beyond blessed to be able to spend time with familly and to even have presents to open. decorating cupcakes for Jesus' birthday It cracked us all up that Manny the dog just jumped in and posed LOL! Yes, I have adult footie pj's :) I always cover the stairs with wrapping paper so they can't sneak down before Chad and I wake up and then they have to bust through on Christmas morning!

One of my favorite things about Christmas in Kansas City is Crown Center/Union Station area.  There are so many activities to do that it usually takes a couple different trips to fit it all in!  This year we did ice skating for the first time which the kids loved and picked up really well!  Then we of course visited the trains at Union Station, visited Santa Clause at Crayola Land at Crown Center, stopped by Fritz's which is a train restaurant where your food is brought to your table by a train, so very cool!  Then we had to finish off by looking at all the elaborate gingerbread houses at Crown Center.  Grandpa Ted and Grandma Julie were able to go down with us when they were here for Christmas and we all had a great time!
