McKinley Jane and Grant Alan

We took a vacation to Fort Lauderdale, FL first week of December and it was perfect timing because it was above average temps in Fort Lauderdale and below average temps in Kansas City so we went from freezing to 80 degrees!  We stayed at a beautiful resort right on the beach that was walking distance to tons of shopping and restaurants.  We didn't do alot other than the beach and pool about 6 hours a day but we did take the water taxi into downtown Fort Lauderdale for dinner and went to the Candy Cane parade the first night we were there.  We also took a day trip to Miami so we could check out South Beach and get some Cuban food.  Beautiful place and beautiful resort!  The resort was right across street from beach and also had a swimming pool and several hot tubs as well as a kids play area where we would go hang out in the afternoons.  The kids were so sad when it was time to leave.  our dining room and living room of the condo ...

We didn't have any family in town for Thanksgiving this year since we had just visited all the grandparents earlier that week so we had a nice, quiet Thanksgiving meal at home with the kiddos and then did our Christmas decorations.  Every year on the day that we decorate the Christmas tree we also open our family Christmas box that includes PJ's for everyone and a family movie for that evening.   Please note I'm in long sleeves and a blanket while my daughter is in a swimsuit :) McKinley's new PJ's Grant's new PJ's Grant decorating his mini tree for his room McKinley decorating her mini tree for her room
