For the first time in years Chad and I both had Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off!  We celebrated the holiday by taking the boat to Clearwater Beach on Christmas Eve and tried out the new boating tube and then on Christmas Day we did absolutely nothing which was the plan! This is how you do a fire in FL! My Christmas gift was a new road bike and Chad signed us up for a triathlon! Biscuit wasn't super impressed with her Christmas gifts Some Yahtzee for Christmas afternoon!

My mom and dad take all us kids on a trip for our 40th birthday but since I'm a looooong way away from 40 they decided to take me early :)  While they were down here visiting for Christmas we took a cruise to the Bahamas.  It was Chad and my first cruise but mom and dad had been on a cruise before.  Chad and I have always been on fence about whether we would like a cruise and after this trip we decided our gut feeling was right and we're not really cruise people but we did like how this cruise was set up.  You were able to cruise to port in Bahamas and then could stay at the resort as many nights as you would like and then sail back.  It was nice to be able to stay in port a couple of days and enjoy the island vs just 8 hours like a normal cruise stop. We went to this bonfire in the Bahamas that the resort advertised as "kid friendly" and a "can't miss event".  I would say their advertising slightly stretched the truth but it was a lot of fun.  As far as family friendly...the women puking over the balcony after a few too many free mai-tai's about an hour into bonfire might have blown that label lol!
