McKinley Jane and Grant Alan

We took a break from school and work and did one last summer getaway at a resort by our house. The highlight of the trip was probably the pony rides! They LOVED it and held on by themselves like such big kids! Lots of tears were shed when we had to leave the ponies!

Granny and Papa Jack managed to make the long trip down for the babies birthday so we were able to celebrate with all 4 of the grandparents! It was a quick trip but while they were here we managed to hit up the Airport Restaurant for breakfast, which the babies loved b/c there were planes taking off and landing constantly so lots of free entertainment. Of course we did a trip to the mall and I got most of my Christmas shopping done and sent everything home with Mom and Dad. Grant and McKinley sure do love "papa" and will cry if he ever leaves their sight! Alot of times he was having to hold both of their hands or carry both of them because they refused to go to Chad or I with him around! (and you guy's were worried they would be scared of you since you lived so far away!!) at the airport restaurant McKinley enjoying coffee time with Papa Jack

On Sep. 5th we had their Peanut Butter and Jelly party to celebrate their 2nd birthday! We held it at our clubhouse and it was so nice not to have to worry about tables/chairs for everyone and cleaning our house before or after! We decided on pb and j as the theme this year because we call McKinley peanut butter and Grant jelly. We had little shirts made for them that said "We go together like peanut butter and jelly" Our friend Amanda made the cake which definately was a show stopper! She's so creative! For gifts we asked everyone to bring a jar of peanut butter and jelly and we donated it to the charity my sister works with that makes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and then delivers them to the homeless. Wow!! Two year update..CRAZY! Their birthday party went wonderfully and I'll be posting pics for that soon! McKinley- At her 2 year appointment she was 75% for height and 5% for weight...tall and skinny girl! She doesn't get that from me. She is still a ball of energy; sometimes good energy, sometimes bad energy :-) She loves to jump so their gift for their birthday is a trampoline in an effort to save our couch! She's a little foodie that loves her sweets...THAT she gets from her mommy! She's imitating about every word you tell her so her language is picking up alot. Her favorite thing right now is the movie "Finding Nemo". It's both incredibly entertaining and traumatizing to her all at the same time! When Nemo gets lost and his dad is looking for him she will come running and go "It's ok, nemo ok??" about 10 times until the scene is over! She loves learning and getting her to sit down and do activities is no problem at all. Bub...

Not going to lie..this was a tough one!! However, of the pictures we got I think they turned out awesome! I was so happy to get the bow pics again..can't break that tradition! The comatose look is due to us trying to play a movie to get them to sit!!
