2 YEAR update!!
Wow!! Two year update..CRAZY! Their birthday party went wonderfully and I'll be posting pics for that soon!
McKinley- At her 2 year appointment she was 75% for height and 5% for weight...tall and skinny girl! She doesn't get that from me. She is still a ball of energy; sometimes good energy, sometimes bad energy :-) She loves to jump so their gift for their birthday is a trampoline in an effort to save our couch! She's a little foodie that loves her sweets...THAT she gets from her mommy! She's imitating about every word you tell her so her language is picking up alot. Her favorite thing right now is the movie "Finding Nemo". It's both incredibly entertaining and traumatizing to her all at the same time! When Nemo gets lost and his dad is looking for him she will come running and go "It's ok, nemo ok??" about 10 times until the scene is over! She loves learning and getting her to sit down and do activities is no problem at all. Bubby on the other hand...
Grant- For his 2 year appointment he was 50% for height and 13% for weight. And these figures are NOT adjusted...this is finally actual age so they're on the charts! Yay! He will babble and "talk" back and forth with anyone for about 30 minutes but isn't saying a ton of words. He will probably say about 20-30 words, but the pediatrician wants them saying 2 word sentences so we're going to have him evaluated for speech on Friday. His favorite thing right now is finding small objects and putting them into containers. Plastic letters into water bottles, toys into baskets, etc. He also loves going outside and playing so thank goodness the weather is cooling down. Getting him to sit down and do activities is almost nonexistent...he's all boy and wants to explore!!
We took them to their "big kid" class at church this week and I had been all emotional over the change, but they LOVED it! They ran right in and when I went to go pick them up they were dancing to the music and cried when I made them leave. They have handled all the growing up and changes in their lives so well...it's me that it's tough on:-)
