5 year checkup

Image
We had their 5 year checkups and both checked out great for development, growth, hearing and vision.  I don't have the exact measurements but they are still almost the EXACT same weight and height which has been the case since they were 1 year old!  They are approximately 35 pounds and 42" which puts them each in about the 10-15th percentile. Family: -We are still homeschooling and the grade level we are following is Kindergarten even though they're 5 years old.  We love the flexibility that it offers our family and I love the extra time it gives me with them since these were the only kiddos that God blessed us with. -Chad is working 3 days/week one week and 4 days/week the next week as an RN in the emergency room. It's great that we both have a nursing schedule so that we can have lots of family time. -I'm (Holly!) am currently working PRN in the same emergency room as Chad (yes we work together and love it!) which basically means I work whenever I want!...

McKinley: -Our neighbor across the street had a baby and McKinley went over to visit and when she came back she said "It was so weird...she only had ONE baby!" -The kids are starting to read on their own and for Halloween I had hung decorations up on their bedroom doors.  I found the decoration I had hung on McKinley's door thrown onto my bed one evening and in the morning when I asked her about it she said "It said rip (R.I.P) on it and it kept scaring me" -When Chad and I are doing our bible study the kids know they aren't supposed to interrupt or talk to us.  One day McKinley didn't want to talk to Grant so as he was trying to talk to her she said "Grant, I'm doing my bible study so you need to leave me alone"   Grant: -I was doing a worksheet with Grant one day that asked the student to find the peacock that was different.  Grant pointed at a random peacock so I said "Why is that one different?"  to which Gra...
