...he walks!!!

Wow...I've had a lot of posts lately with the holidays. I'm sure they'll be dropping off dramatically pretty soon! Grant: He is still. not. walking. Not that I don't think he has the ability to do it because occasionally he will walk without thinking about it, but once he realizes he's actually walking he immediately drops to his butt. We are currently building a walker that he can take to kindergarten with him... New words that he's added are bye-bye and in sign language he has added "all done" and we're working on "eat". His favorite word is probably "yummy" which he was happily saying this afternoon while he was eating a cupcake wrapper! He also loves the dishwasher and will come crawling over at lightening speed whenever he hears it open. He's now figured out how to open it so I found him standing in it today smiling from ear to ear! He also likes to shut it off when we're not looking so we wake up to dirty dishes in...

We were fortunate enough to have both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off so we spent Christmas Eve going to church and then Chad and I did our gift exchange after the babies went to bed. On Christmas morning we woke up bright and early and did stockings and then Chad's family came over to open presents. That afternoon the weather was so beautiful that we were able to hang out at the park for awhile. Grant loving his new slide Someone needs to work on her patience! Chad couldn't seem to get the slide together fast enough for her Grant on his couch from Grandma Julie and Grandpa Ted Chad's parents and brother, Tyler Ready for church! Had a pretty big scare last night that required me taking McKinley into ER. I was bending over picking some stuff up and went to step back not knowing she was behind me and knocked her over. She fell straight back onto the back of her head. She started to cry so I picked her up and a couple of seconds later her eyes crossed and then rolled back in her head and she arched her back in what looked like a seizure. The whole episode was only a few seconds but I called the pediatrician and they wanted her seen to possibly do a CT scan and rule out a brain bleed. When I took her into the doctor they wanted to hold of on doing a CT unless absolutely necessary b/c you have to sedate babies to do them which would lead to her being held at the hospital overnight. He let me take her home to monitor her so I just woke up with her every hour until midnight and then every 2 hours. She never showed any additional symptoms and today is acting completely fine. I'm sure this will be our firs...
