McKinley Jane and Grant Alan

We've achieved our first goal of 24 weeks and now it's onto the next goal of 28 weeks. Checkup with the doctor showed that the cervix is still holding up and we're going to continue doing the bedrest and medications. We also had an appointment with the perinatologist today and took measurements of the babies. McKinley is approx 1lb 4oz and Grant is approx 1lb 6oz so they're keeping right up with one another. The tech took some 3D ultrasound pics of their faces which was amazing! You could see their features so well and they don't look like aliens anymore! I think McKinley is going to look like me :-) Pray for 28 weeks and beyond... I know I look awful.....what's the use of getting ready just to sit around the house??!?

I swore I'd never have a blog...I've actually been known to stalk others blogs and make fun of their postings (always strangers..never my friends or family!!) But....bedrest can make you do crazy things so I thought instead of torturing the people that didn't want to see another one of my lovely belly pics or eventually anymore pics of the babies I decided I would set up a blog so you could check at your own leisure. A little update on the pregnancy front (22 weeks): I made two triage visits the past week with back pain, but it ended up I was contracting quite frequently. First visit I got two terbutaline injections, second visit they decided to send me home on oral medications to stop the contractions. I'm dilated 1cm on the outside, but inside of cervix is holding up. At this point we're shooting for 24 weeks at which point viability increases, but are hoping that we go far beyond that. As of right now it's strict bedrest for me and the babies.
