Green Headed Monster

Image
Okay, I have to come clean and admit that the green headed monster reared its ugly head this week. Grant has a new girlfriend....and it's not his Mommy. We have a girl that started helping us out one night a week at nighttime so that Chad and I can overlap a night of work named Aubree. She's awesome and we just love her. Apparently Grant loves her too. He will just stare at her while she's here with adoration in his eyes! Obviously McKinley loves her too because she slept better with Aubree than she's ever slept with us. She's so good with the babies so I guess I'll just have to get over it. When they're older though I'm so going to give them treats so they like me better!! We had our six month checkup with the pediatrician and everything looks great. They're doing well as far as growth is concerned and developmentally are keeping up with the six month pace even though they're four months adjusted age. Both are rolling over front to back and back...

Wow..half a year gone by already. Hard to believe. We had the babies weighed last week and Grant is steadily pulling away from McKinley. He's a whopping 13 lbs. 6 oz. and McKinley weighed in at 12 lbs. 1 oz. They're still the same length though. We have a checkup with the pediatrician next week so I'll be sure to check in after that. Just had to get on tonight and share some photos we had taken for their 6 month birthday. Our neighbor, Marta, generously offered to take these pics and she did such an awesome job! It took two sessions in one day but the end result was fabulous! THANKS MARTA!

Granny and Papa Jack

Granny and Papa Jack (my parents) stopped by to visit on their way to Vegas and then L.A. They've been able to make it out from Kansas a few times since the babies were born which has been a blessing. Mom and Dad even had to keep them for the night a couple of times while Chad and I both worked....they did great and even managed to keep the babies on their schedule! Springtime!

Image
The weather is heating up here in Phoenix and this is my favorite time of the year! We decided to get out and enjoy the nice weather and headed to our timeshare by our home to sit by the pool for the day. I can't wait until it's a little warmer and we can get the babies in the water. They love baths so much that I think they're going to love the pool! I sat Grant on the top step and he liked it....didn't fuss at all. Daddy and Grant before church (check out Grant's baseball shoes...how cute are those!?!) Church makes me fall asleep sometimes too! Our friend Katy and Todd were over to visit with Bradley who found the babies vibrating seat the best seat for watching TV!

FYI: We've had her evaluated by a pediatric eye specialist and he won't even consider seeing her until after 6 months b/c he said it's simply a muscle thing and she'll grow out of crossing her ...
