Sylvie came to us the day after I had surgery which was a crazy experience!  I felt so bad not being able to pick her up and change her diapers but we quickly bonded after I recovered from surgery enough to hold her. Absolutely disgusting lol!

I had to have surgery to repair my shoulder and to say I was overwhelmed thinking about how I was going to take care of 5 kids is an understatement.  Not to mention that while I was being prepped for surgery they called and said they were transitioning one kid out of our home and another new kiddo came the very next day!  My nieces, Hannah and Heidi, came down to help us out during those first few weeks which was a huge help and then I was able to adapt for the most part until I was able to start lifting again. Poor guy had to do  my  hair for me

Each Christmas we do a kick off christmas box where each kid gets a new set of PJ's and fun holiday items after we eat Thanksgiving lunch.  Everyone puts on their snuggly new PJ's and we decorate the tree and then watch a favorite Christmas movie!
