Our wedding wasn't traditional for many reasons.  One reason was that we were in a pandemic so we couldn't even plan a big wedding if we wanted and then Derek and I both wanted something simple and meaningful.  We decided to elope, but tell our parents and very close friends beforehand.  There was no engagement and I didn't get to even see my ring until the ceremony!  The day of the ceremony was low key and relaxed and absolutely perfect!  There was no timeline and no stress.  My dear friend Susie married us and she and her husband were our only wedding guests!  After the wedding Derek and I went out to dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse.
