Yep, you read that right...another milestone down. Grant got his first tooth the other day! We thought for sure McKinley would be the first with the amount of drooling and chewing she does but she has yet to break any. I think we're all over our respiratory junk and thankfully (knock on wood) we didn't catch the stomach flu that Chad also had.
We've been doing pretty good with the night schedule and are working on the day schedule now. Grant sleeps from 530pm to around 600am each night..that boy loves his sleep! McKinley sleeps from around 530pm to around 4am and then back down until 6 am but lately has been waking up in the night...hopefully that stage ends soon! They're still taking 3 naps a day but their awake hours are slowly increasing which makes it easier to get out and about. They're eating solid foods like champs and we're trying to introduce finger foods like Cheerios and such which can be pretty comical! It usually comes right back out!
Neither are crawling yet, but somehow manage to get to where they need to go by rolling. We finally had to start baby proofing and the front living room of the house is now the play room. We're working on getting some gates installed to make a little baby prison :-) Both are sitting up independently now for short periods.
A big Congratulations to our friends Todd and Katy who got married this past weekend. They got married on a big boat in Newport Beach, CA and it was BEAUTIFUL. What an awesome idea. Katy was the most easy going bride I've ever seen...no

Grant on the other hand insists on sleeping with his arm out of the crib slats. For awhile we thought it was an accident so we'd go in there and put his arm back in and scoot him into the middle of the crib, but a few minutes later we'd find him back against the side rails with his arm hanging out.....I wonder where our children get all these weird personality habits from because Chad and I are COMPLETELY normal?!?
Bubble Time!
So they say separation anxiety sets in sometime around 6-8 months...well, McKinley definitely has it, but unfortunately its separation anxiety in relation to the animals. She'll stare intently at the cats or dogs if they're in the room but should they leave before she is ready she will throw a fit and cry. Grant cries when I leave the room though so I guess that evens it out!
