We're trying to use our Disney passes as much as possible before they get blocked for the summer so we hit up Animal Kingdom with our friend Grayson!

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Image
We had our annual Daddy/Daughter and Mommy/Son date night again this year and the theme of the dance for Chad and McKinley was 80's.  We thought we did great on the costumes and were going with an 80's prom idea until Chad showed up at the dance and ended up getting second place in the costume contest for....Revenge of the Nerds costume!  Hahahahahaha!  When he got home and told me the story I about died laughing.  He said he was getting ready to leave and they were announcing that the second place winner was "Nerdy dad" and he was just standing there until the lady up front with microphone pointed at him and was like "You, sir..you got second place!"   Grant and I went to Dave and Busters and played video games to our hearts content and then ended the night with our annual visit to Dunkin' Donuts.  I love these nights and the memories we make each year.

-McKinley during school: "I need to find a word that rhymes with strong.  Is bong ok?" -After Valentines day I couldn't find Grant's candy so I asked him where it was at.  He said he had hid it so I wouldn't eat it :) -McKinley still to this day calls her calf a "whoopie cushion" haha!  We have no idea where she got that from but she says it looks like a whoopie cushion. -I went to pick up Grant from the gym daycare and the daycare worker asked me if either of us worked in healthcare.  I asked her why she was asking and she said "Well Grant was playing with another kid and he said 'that vein in your head would be perfect for an IV'"  -Grant is really into cars so he is always talking about what car he's going to drive.  One day he said he was going to paint his car camo to which McKinley replied "What if your wife says no?" (first off, that's hilarious to me!).  Grant's answer was perfect though be...

Kids First Ski Trip

We decided to take the kids skiing in nearby North Carolina to see how they liked it and it worked out that some friends some work were able to join us in our timeshare.  It was a great time and the resort was amazing...one of my favorite.  However, it will be YEARS before I take the kids skiing in Colorado on the bigger mountains!  This ski area was perfect because it was only one short run and was really cheap for lift tickets so it wasn't a big deal that they only lasted a few hours a day.  The first day we had them ski which was a disaster so the next day we switched to snowboarding which went a lot better.  However, Grant is not a fan of either at all so he ended up walking down the slope on the last run ha!  And we realized after we got home that we had not one picture of us skiing :( One of the days was sunny and beautiful and the ski slopes were closed so we took a hike to visit one of the waterfalls which was beautiful! Indoor pool at the re...
