26 days and counting..

It's been 26 days since the babies have been born and while the first 3 weeks flew by I'm definately getting anxious to have both babies at home where we can get into a normal routine. We moved out of the NICU into the Continuing Care Nursery about a week ago and they have done great. Since moving to the nursery they have been cobedding in an open crib. Our main goals we're working towards is getting them to bottle/breastfeed on a regular basis and then they can go home. McKinley is a total foodie and loves eating on her own. She's been taking almost all of her feedings on her own for about 48 hours now, which means she's getting very close to discharge. I know discharge has been talked about by the doctors, but I don't even want to ask for a date in case it doesn't happen. She currently weighs 4 lbs 3 oz. Grant is improving with his feedings but is battling AWFUL reflux. He has it bad enough that it causes him to hold his breath which then makes his heartrate drop. They have talked about sending him home on a heart monitor if he starts to feed on his own more regularly. It would kill me to have them discharged at different times, but right now that looks like what's going to happen... He currently weights 5 lbs. which seems so big to me! He's almost grown out of his preemie clothes already :-(
