Trip Home June 2011

For our trip home to Kansas this time we decided to be brave and drive the 30 hours roundtrip! I was a little nervous as to how it would go, but it actually went beautifully! We could have made it to KS without stopping but once we saw 10 deer in 15 miles we got nervous and decided to get a hotel for the night. It went well enough that I'm willing to try it again in the future! We managed to get my whole side of the family together and packed into one house...all 21 of us! It's fun watching all the cousins play together now! My favorite part of being home is riding the mule each night and I think it was the kids favorite part too. They also loved the fact that you don't have to use carseats in my town (no stoplights and only 150 people for all you city-folk that are freaking out right now about no carseats!) One night we did an "un-birthday party" since the cousins never get to celebrate together and did a cupcake decorating, a water balloon fight and matching pj's for all the little kids. visiting great grandma JuneBig wet kiss for Great grandma June!visiting the horse on our nightly mule ride (or ranger ride for you Phoenicians)
