Grant and McKinley's 8th Birthday!

For the kids birthday we decided to do a Lego theme this year and in lieu of having a party we booked an overnight stay at the Legoland hotel and theme park. The overnight stay wasn't until later in the week so Chad set up a scavenger hunt on their birthday day with a letter explaining what their gift would be. On their actual birthday we celebrated with cake for breakfast, complete with trick candles which was hilarious. Usually for their birthday parties we pick a charity to have guests donate to instead of bringing the kids gifts and since we weren't doing that this year the kids asked if they could go hand out gift cards at Lake Eola to some of the homeless. Proud parenting moment there :) We were so proud watching them be brave and kind enough to approach these people to offer gift cards. There were quite a few rejections but the kids just kept on pushing through. After Lake Eola we headed to Golden Corral which was their restaurant choice and then Epcot for some fun.
