McKinley Jane and Grant Alan

Grant and McKinley's buddies Olivia, Brayden and Layla celebrated their 2nd birthday and we had so much fun! It was quite an event with every kind of candy imaginable, pink ponies, a bounce house and a clown!! Missy did such an awesome job on the decorations, wish I were half as creative! As promised, here are our pics from the Disney on Ice show. We had such a great time and they lasted through the whole thing without any problems. At one point Grant was shoveling popcorn into his mouth without ever taking his eyes off the show! We're excited for the circus to come this summer! Mmmmm....cotton candy! A self family portrait. It's starting to warm up here and while I'm loving the 70's and 80's that's a sure sign that 120 degrees is right around the corner so we're really trying to enjoy our outside time right now before it gets too hot! Grant: He had his 18 month check up where he weighed in at 21 lbs. For height and weight he was in the 3-5 percentile actual age. Doctor is very happy with his progress. Said that he's either right on or ahead of all his milestones. Grant's new favorite thing right now is for mommy to sing songs that he can do actions to. Hours can be spend singing "The Wheels on the Bus" or "If You're Happy and You Know It". He's about the best audience you can have because after each verse he claps and says "YAY!!". Our favorite thing to do during the day is to play chase and hide 'n seek. It scares him every time Mommy jumps out, but then he runs off laughing! As you can tell the pic at the top of our blog is HUGE! I've worked on it for awhile now and can't fix it, nor can I revert it back to the original pic we had. Anyone have any ideas?

We had a busy week leading up to Easter, but even with all the fun of egg hunts and Easter candy we don't want to lose focus of what the holiday is truly about. However, tonight as I tried to tell the Easter story to a very tired McKinley she kept kissing me and pointing to her crib saying "night, night". I'll have to try again next year I guess! We started out the festivities with an egg hunt/brunch with my mom's group. There was a HUGE turnout so it was kind of hectic. Not to mention I got to try out having a 3rd kid that day with my friend Misty's son, Roman. We fared well though and avoided any major meltdowns! The festivities continued with Disney On Ice, which I'll post pics for later and then ended with an egg hunt and celebration at our community and then most importantly, church service on Saturday evening!
